Streatham was a List of United Kingdom Parliament constituencies, constituency represented in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, UK Parliament. In the 2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum, 2016 EU referendum, Streatham was estimated to have results of the 2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum by constituency, voted to remain in the European Union by 79%. This was the second highest remain vote in the United Kingdom, behind Vauxhall (UK Parliament constituency), Vauxhall. Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat was abolished. St Leonard's (ward)
Streatham St Leonard's is an electoral ward in the London Borough of Lambeth, United Kingdom. The ward has existed since the creation of the borough on 1 April 1965 and was first used in the 1964 elections. It returns three councillors to Lambeth London Borough Council. It is located in the south west of the borough and shares a border with Wandsworth. The ward comprises the western part of the Streatham town centre and is mostly to the west of the A23 Streatham High Road, with the exception of the Stanthorpe Triangle area immediately east of St Leonard's church in the historic village centre. Lambeth () is a London borough in South London, England, which forms part of Inner London. Its name was recorded in 1062 as ''Lambehitha'' ("landing place for lambs") and in 1255 as ''Lambeth''. The Metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth was a Metropolitan boroughs of the County of London, Metropolitan borough under the London County Council, from 1900 to 1965. History The borough was formed from five civil parishes in England, civil parishes: Clapham, Putney, Streatham, Tooting, Tooting Graveney and Wandsworth. In 1904, these five were combined into a single civil parish called Wandsworth Borough, which was conterminous with the metropolitan borough. Before 1900, these parishes, and Battersea until 1888, had been administered by the Wandsworth District (Metropolis), Wandsworth District Board of Works.
