''Strawberry Hotel'' is the eleventh studio album by British electronic group Underworld, released on 25 October 2024 through Virgin Music and the band's own label Smith Hyde Productions. Underworld (band)
Underworld are a British electronic music group formed in 1987 in Cardiff, Wales (although active in several other guises since 1978), and the principal collaborative project of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith (musician), Rick Smith. ''Uncut'' is a monthly magazine based in London. It is available across the English-speaking world, and focuses on music, but also includes film and books sections. A DVD magazine under the ''Uncut'' brand was published quarterly from 2005 to 2006. Nina Maria Nastasia ( ; born May 13, 1966) is an American folk singer-songwriter. A native of Los Angeles, she first came to prominence in New York City in 2000 after Radio 1 disc jockey John Peel began giving her debut album, ''Dogs'', airplay. The album earned Nastasia a cult following, and was re-released in 2004. Subsequent albums include '' The Blackened Air'' (2002), '' Run to Ruin'' (2004), '' On Leaving'' (2006), and '' You Follow Me'' (2007). The latter is a collaboration with Australian drummer Jim White of Dirty Three. Following the release of her 2010 album '' Outlaster'', Nastasia took an extended hiatus from recording. Karl Hyde
Karl Hyde (born 10 May 1957) is an English musician, composer and artist. He is a founding member of British electronic group Underworld. Hyde has also released a solo album, made albums with Brian Eno and Matthew Herbert, and contributed towards the score for the London 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony alongside his Underworld bandmate Rick Smith. He is a founding member of the multi-discipline design and film collective Tomato and has published several books. Career Hyde grew up in Bewdley, England. He moved to Cardiff in the late 1970s to study at Cardiff College of Art. There he formed the new wave- synthpop band Freur in 1982 with Rick Smith and Alfie Thomas.
