Adario Strange
Adario Strange is a New York–based writer, film director, and artist. He is best known for his documentary fil''The NYU Suicides''detailing a year of strange deaths at the famed university. In recent years he was Editor-in-Chief of the weekly newspaper ''New York Press'', and a technology writer for ''Wired'', the SyFy channel, and PC Magazine. Strange was born and raised in the East Village in New York City, NY, United States. Many in the entertainment industry also know him for his work as one of the original writers and second Editor-in-Chief of ''The Source'' hip hop magazine. Frederick Strange
Frederick Strange (c. 1826 – 15 October 1854) was a collector of plant and animal specimens during the early colonisation of Australia. He collected bird specimens for John Gould. He was killed in a conflict between his group and natives on South Percy Island. The water lily ''Nymphaea gigantea'' was collected by him and sent to England where it was named by William Jackson Hooker, William Hooker. Life and work Strange was apparently born in Aylsham, in Norfolk, England, tentatively given as 1826 by his earliest biographer although more likely to between 1810 and 1818. He emigrated to South Australia in 1836 aboard the ''Cygnet (barque), Cygnet'', or at least prior to 1838 when he accompanied Charles Sturt on an expedition to the Gawler River (South Australia), Gawler River. Louis Strange
Louis Arbon Strange, (27 July 1891 – 15 November 1966) was an English aviator, who served in both the First and Second World Wars. Early life Louis Strange was born in Tarrant Keyneston, Dorset, and was educated at St Edward's School, Oxford, joining the school's contingent of the Dorset Yeomanry. Strange spent his childhood at Tarrant Keynstone Mill on the River Stour. His family farmed at Spetisbury in Dorset. He had seen military aircraft and the airship Beta flying over Dorset during the summer manoeuvres of 1912 when serving with the Dorsetshire Yeomanry and determined in May 1913 to become a pilot. He joined the Ewen School of flying at Hendon Aerodrome in July and gained his Royal Aero Club Aviators' Certificate, No. 575, on 5 August. Llewellyn Strange
Llewellyn Strange (1892–1973) was a Newfoundland-born Canadian police chief and politician. Llewellyn was born to John and Jane E. Strange in Port de Grave and educated here. He married Mary Ellen Morgan and worked in a fishery until, in 1921, he joined the Newfoundland constabulary. There he worked in the criminal investigation division from 1926 until 1933, when he became head constable. In 1934, he became assistant chief of police and a justice of the peace. In January 1945, he was named the constabulary's commanding officer. He retired in 1956. Jason Strange (born 8 October 1973 in Tredegar, Wales) is a former Welsh rugby union player and now coach. An outside half, he was a prolific goal-kicker. Strange played his club rugby for a number of clubs in Wales including Pontypridd RFC, Ebbw Vale RFC, Newport RFC before joining Bristol RFC and Leeds Carnegie where he signed a 2-year contract to take him to the end of 2010.
