''Story Ave'' is a 2023 American drama film directed by Aristotle Torres from a script by Torres and Bonsu Thompson, produced by Torres and Jamie Foxx, and starring Asante Blackk, Luis Guzmán, Melvin Gregg and Alex R. Hibbert. It is based on Torres's 2018 short film of the same name, which in turn was based on a true story. ''Story Ave'' had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 11, 2023. It was released by Kino Lorber in select cinemas on September 29, 2023. At the 55th NAACP Image Awards the film was nominated for Outstanding Independent Motion Picture. Premise A teenage graffiti artist runs away from home and robs an MTA worker at gunpoint, which changes the lives of them both forever. Jamie Foxx
Eric Marlon Bishop (born December 13, 1967), known professionally as Jamie Foxx, is an American actor, comedian, and singer. Known for his work in both the screen and music industries, his accolades include an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Foxx's breakthrough was in the early 1990s as a featured player in the sketch comedy show '' In Living Color'' (19911994).
