Storsmeden
Storsmeden is a mountain on the border of Dovre Municipality and Sel Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Rondane mountains and inside the Rondane National Park, about northeast of the town of Otta and about southeast of the village of Dombås. The mountain is part of a group of mountains called Smiubelgen. It is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Digerronden, Veslesmeden, and Høgronden to the northeast, Rondeslottet to the east, Ljosåbelgen and Bråkdalsbelgen to the south, Sagtindan and Trolltinden to the west; Gråhøe and Vassberget to the northwest; and Stygghøin to the north. The mountain is easiest to access on its western ridge. Experienced hikers may access it via Veslesmeden by scrambling the eastern ridge. Name The meaning of the name is "the big blacksmith". Veslesmeden is a mountain in Dovre Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Rondane mountains and inside the Rondane National Park, about northeast of the town of Otta and about southeast of the village of Dombås. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Digerronden and Høgronden to the northeast, Rondeslottet to the east, Storsmeden to the south, Sagtindan and Trolltinden to the west; Gråhøe and Vassberget to the northwest; and Stygghøin to the north. Smiubelgen
Smiubelgen is a mountain range in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the western part of Rondane National Park, separated from the eastern part by the lake Rondvatnet. The Smiubelgen mountains have sharper ridges than the eastern part of Rondane. The mountain range is located in Sel Municipality and Dovre Municipality. Rondeslottet
Rondslottet is the highest mountain in the Rondane mountain range in Innlandet county, Norway. The tall mountain sits on the border between Dovre Municipality and Folldal Municipality, just north of the border with Sel Municipality. There is a trail leading to the summit. Name The first part of the name comes from the word which was probably the original name of the nearby lake Rondvatnet. Many of the mountains near the lake were then named after this lake. The Old Norse form of the name was which means 'stripe' or 'edge' (referring to the long and narrow form of the lake). The last element of the name is the finite form of the Norwegian word which means 'palace'.
