Stormie Omartian (; born September 16, 1942) is an American Christian author. She is married to Michael Omartian, with whom she recorded five musical albums before she launched her writing career. Early career Omartian aspired to be a singer and actress at a young age. While still in college at UCLA, she started work as a singer, dancer, and actress, appearing in several professional theatrical productions in the California area and later on The Dean Martin Show, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, The Mac Davis Show, and The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, along with many other roles. She worked as a backup singer for Glen Campbell, Neil Diamond, Ray Charles, The Imperials, and other well-known artists. She also sang for a time in the Norman Luboff Choir and toured with The Sandpipers. The duo Stormie & Sunny released a pop single in 1967 titled "All The Warm Is Gone" but it did not make the charts. Stormie Mills (born 1969) is a street/visual artist operating out of Perth, Western Australia. Mills' portfolio has been published in two books, ''Proximamente'' (2008) and ''Dwi Yma'' (2013). Life and career Mills was born in 1969 in Colwyn Bay, a coastal town in northern Wales, and moved with his brothers Barnaby and Oliver and his parents Gani and Christopher to Perth, Western Australia when he was three. In 1984 Mills discovered spray-paint and painting in the streets, and at 16 years of age he travelled back to Wales to live with his grandmother before visiting New York in 1986. During that time he also travelled to London. Mills returned to Perth just before his 21st birthday. In 1999 he held his first solo exhibition in Perth at Jacksue Gallery. In 2002 he achieved a Commendation Award in the "City of Perth Invitational Art Award". Stormie Dawn Jones (May 30, 1977 – November 11, 1990) was the world's first recipient of a successful simultaneous heart and liver organ transplant. Early life Stormie Dawn Jones was born in Borger, Texas to Susie Jones, a waitress, and an oil field worker. She had an older sister named Misty. Her parents separated when she was five years old. Medical Issues When Stormie reached three months of age, discolored bumps began to appear on her skin. A multitude of doctors were unable to find the cause. During this time, the bumps began getting more painful. In the summer of 1983, her mother took her to a specialist who took a biopsy of the bumps and found them to contain nearly pure cholesterol. The specialist then referred Stormie to David Bilheimer, a cholesterol specialist at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Stormie Denise Forte is an American lawyer, radio host, and politician. She is the first African-American woman to serve on the Raleigh City Council. She was appointed to the council on July 14, 2020 and represents District D, which encompasses Southwest Raleigh. On July 8, 2022, Stormie filed to run for Raleigh's at-large district in the 2022 Raleigh election. Biography Forte is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in 1989. She has a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and a master of science degree in rehabilitation counseling and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
