Storkøbenhavn
The urban area of Copenhagen (also known as Greater Copenhagen) ( or ), lying mostly in the Capital Region of Denmark but also in Region Zealand, consist of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg municipalities and the former Copenhagen County. In all, it consists of 18 municipalities, and except parts of Ballerup, Greve (of former Roskilde County), Ishøj, former Søllerød and former Værløse, mentioned with (the part of) their population included from 2007. Ishøj and Greve Strand are included for the first time since 1999. As of 1 January 2025, this area had a population of 1,396,508. Ballerup Municipality
Ballerup Kommune () is a municipality () in '' Region Hovedstaden'' on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. It is located approximately 15 kilometers from central Copenhagen. The municipality covers an area of 34.09 km2, and has a population of 52,939 (1. January 2025). It is also the name of the municipal seat, Ballerup. Overview As of March 2025, the mayor is Jesper Würtzen of the Social Democrats. Other than Ballerup, the towns that make up the municipality are Måløv and Skovlunde. Rudersdal Municipality
Rudersdal Municipality () is a part suburban, part rural municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') located on the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It covers an area of 73 km² and has a population of 57,342 (1. January 2025). The distance from Copenhagen City Hall Square is approximately 20 km. The western part of the municipality is served by the Hillerød radial of the S-train network while the eastern part is served by the Coast Line. Administratively Rudersdal Municipality belongs to Region Hovedstaden. On 1 January 2007 Rudersdal municipality was created as the result of 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, consisting of the former municipalities of Søllerød and Birkerød. Its mayor is Ann Sofie Orth. She is a member of the Conservative Party political party. Rudersdal Town Hall (formerly Søllerød Town Hall), completed in 1942, was designed by Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen.

Rødovre Municipality
Rødovre Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in the Capital Region on the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark. Its mayor is Britt Jensen. She is a member of the Social Democrats (''Socialdemokraterne'') political party who hold a majority of seats in the council. History The municipality was created in 1901 when the parish of Rødovre was split from Brønshøj-Rødovre parish; the Brønshøj part was simultaneously annexed by the city of Copenhagen. Hvidovre Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in the Capital Region near Copenhagen on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. Gladsaxe Municipality () is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') near Copenhagen in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark.
