Storfors Municipality
Storfors Municipality () is a municipality in Värmland County in west central Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Storfors, which has approximately 2,500 inhabitants. The first local government unit named Storfors was created in 1950 when a market town (''köping'') by that name was detached from Kroppa. (The rest of Kroppa is since 1971 in Filipstad Municipality.) In 1967 Ullvättern was amalgamated with Storfors, making up the present municipal territory. Storfors is one of Sweden's least populated municipalities. The nearest city is Karlstad, approximately 50 kilometers to the west. Several small lakes and streams offer fishing opportunities. The countryside is also suitable for other outdoor activities, including walking and hiking. Karlskoga Municipality
Karlskoga Municipality () is a municipality in Örebro County in central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Karlskoga. Other localities include Valåsen och Labbsand, Kortfors, Linnebäck and Villingsberg. Karlskoga was formed as rural municipality when the first Swedish local government acts came into force in 1863. In 1925 the southern part was detached, forming Degerfors Municipality. In 1940 the whole municipality, including its non-urban areas, got the title of a city. These titles were abolished in 1971. Örebro County
Örebro County () is a county or '' län'' in central Sweden. It borders the counties of Västra Götaland, Värmland, Dalarna, Västmanland, Södermanland and Östergötland. Hällefors Municipality
Hällefors Municipality () is a municipality in Örebro County in central Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Hällefors. The amalgamations connected with the 1971 municipal reform took place already in 1967 when "old" Hällefors was amalgamated with Grythyttan and the parish of Hjulsjö, which 1965-1966 temporarily had been in Nora Municipality. The municipality has a beautiful nature with many different activities. Alkvettern Manor
Alkvettern Manor (, ) is a manor house at lake Alkvettern in Bjurtjärn socken, Bjurtjärn, Storfors Municipality, Värmland County. It is located near Kyrksten, southeast of Storfors and 13 km (8 mi) northwest of Karlskoga. The manor has served as residence for members of several notable Swedish families, for instance the af Geijerstam, Mitander and Linroth family, Linroth families. History The current-standing manor house was completed in the 17th century, and it traces its history to the 13th century. The estate, acquired by Karin Nilsdotter Bielke at the end of the 16th century, was inherited by her daughter Brita Eriksdotter Gyllenstjärna in 1596. The current-standing white-colored manor house was rebuilt at the beginning of the 19th century by Johan Henrik af Geijerstam. 2022 Swedish General Election
General elections were held in Sweden on 11 September 2022 to elect the 349 members of the Riksdag who in turn elected the Prime Minister of Sweden. Under the constitution, regional and municipal elections were also held on the same day. The preliminary results presented on 15 September showed the government parties lost their majority, which were confirmed by the final results published on 17 September.
