Store TÃ¥strup Rectory
Store TÃ¥strup Rectory (Danish languish, Danish: Store TÃ¥strup PræstegÃ¥rd) is a three-winged, half-timbered rectory located east of Store TÃ¥strup Church, just north of Store Merløse, Holbæk Municipality, some 50 km west of central Copenhagen, Denmark. Together with its three-winged home farm (''avlsgÃ¥rd''), which is located between the rectory and the church, it surrounds a large rectangular courtyard. Access to the courtyard and hence the main entrance of the rectory is through a gateway in the home farm. The rectory was listed in the Listed buildings in Holbæk Municipality, Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1950. The home farm is not listed but registered with "high preservation value". History The Jus patronatus, right of patronage to the churches in Store TÃ¥strup and Ugerløse was in 1693 granted to Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve. Merløsegaard
Merløsegaard is a manor house located 9 kilometres north of Ringsted, close to the village of Store Merløse, Holbæk Municipality, some sixty kilometres southwest of Copenhagen, Denmark. Merløsegaard and nearby Bonderup are owned by Den Suhrske Stiftelse. The buildings are now operated as a hotel and event venue. History Early history The estate was established as a manor in 1678 by colonel Lauritz Munk. Merløsegaard was later sold to Assessor (law), assessor Eiler Jacobsen Eilert, the owner of neighboring Bonderup. He had previously also been the owner of Tårnborg at Korsør from 1692 to 1699.. In 1719, Eilert sold Merløsegaard to Poul Sadolin. After just four years, he sold the estate to district judge Johannes Christiansen who soon thereafter sold it to Johannes Winckler. Holbæk Municipality () is a '' kommune'' in northwestern Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand in Denmark. The municipality includes the island of Orø, and covers an area of 583 km², and has a total population of 74,490 (2025). Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve
Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve, Landgrave of Laurvig (20 July 1638 – 17 April 1704) was the illegitimate son of Frederick III of Denmark-Norway. A good relationship to his half brother, Christian V, secured him a position as one of the leading statesmen and largest landowners in Denmark-Norway. He was the leading general in Norway during the Scanian War, whose Norwegian leg is conventionally named the Gyldenløve War after him. He later served as Governor-general of Norway (''Stattholdere i Norge'') from 1664 to 1699. In Norway, he established the Countship of Laurvig and succeeded Peter Griffenfeld to the Countship of Tønsberg (until then Griffenfeld and later Jarlsberg).
