Stompa
Stompa is a supervillain and goddess appearing in books published by DC Comics. Created by writer/artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in ''Mister Miracle'' #6 (January 1972). Stompa is a New God from Apokolips and a member of the Female Furies who wields anti-matter boots. She has served as an adversary to Superman and several other heroes. Stompa has appeared in various media outside comics, primarily in association with the New Gods. Diane Delano, April Stewart, and Andrea Romano have voiced the character in animation. Female Furies
The Female Furies are a group of women warriors and supervillains appearing in comics published by DC Comics. All of them are New Gods who serve Darkseid. They operate directly under Granny Goodness, who trains all of Darkseid's soldiers. Publication history The Female Furies first appeared in ''Mister Miracle'' #6 (February 1972) and were created by Jack Kirby. In November 2018, the Female Furies headlined their own six-issue miniseries by writer Cecil Castellucci and artist Adriana Melo. Fictional team history The Female Furies are New Gods fanatically loyal to Darkseid. They have been trained by Granny Goodness to serve as Apokolips's elite strike force. Infighting among the Furies is commonplace, most typically to appoint a leader to the group. Serena Ryder
Serena Lauren Ryder (born December 8, 1982) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Born in Toronto, she grew up in Millbrook, Ontario. Ryder first gained national recognition with her ballad "Weak in the Knees" in 2007 and has released eight studio albums. Early life and musical interest Serena Lauren Ryder is the daughter of Barbara Ryder and Glen Sorzano and was born into a musical family. Her biological father was a Trinidadian musician who immigrated to Canada in the early sixties. Her uncle, part-Ojibwe (Temagami First Nation) singer-songwriter Bob Carpenter, worked with producer Brian Ahern and singer Emmylou Harris and recorded the unreleased ''Silent Passage'' (1974), which has since become a folk- rock cult classic. New God
The New Gods are a fictional extraterrestrial race appearing in the eponymous comic book series published by DC Comics, as well as selected other DC titles. Created and designed by Jack Kirby, they first appeared in February 1971 in ''New Gods'' #1. Publication history Volume 1 (1971) The New Gods are natives of the twin planets of New Genesis and Apokolips. New Genesis is an idyllic planet filled with unspoiled forests, mountains, and rivers and ruled by the benevolent Highfather, while Apokolips is a nightmarish, polluted dystopia filled with machinery and fire pits, ruled by the tyrannical Darkseid. Diane Delano (January 29, 1957 – December 13, 2024) was an American character actress. She was known for her numerous roles in films and television, such as Sergeant Barbara Semanski on the CBS television series ''Northern Exposure'' and Roberta "Bobbi" Glass on The WB television series '' Popular''. Life and career Delano was born in Los Angeles on January 29, 1957. She was the granddaughter of actor John Merton. Aside from her role on ''Popular'', she played the role of Hilda, an FBI agent hired to protect Sami Brady, on ''Days of Our Lives''. She also had a recurring role on Northern Exposure. Giganta
Giganta is a fictional character appearing in DC Comics publications and related media, commonly as a recurring adversary of the superhero Wonder Woman, and an occasional foil of the superhero the Atom (Ray Palmer), Atom. She debuted as a brutish strongwoman in 1944's '' Wonder Woman (comic book), Wonder Woman '' #9, written by Wonder Woman creator William Moulton Marston and illustrated by H.G. Peter, Harry G.
