Dejan Stojanović ( sr-Cyrl, Дејан Стојановић, ; born 11 March 1959) is a Serbian American poet, writer, essayist, philosopher, businessman, and former journalist. His poetry is characterized by a recognizable system of thought, and poetic devices that border on philosophy and a highly reflective overall tone. According to critic Petar V. Arbutina, "Stojanović belongs to the small and autochthonous circle of poets who have been the main creative and artistic force of the Serbian poetry in the last several decades." Milka Stojanović (; 13 January 1937 – 1 September 2023) was a Serbian soprano opera singer who achieved international success. She sang with the National Theatre in Belgrade from 1960 and started her international career in 1962 when she appeared at the Edinburgh Festival. She performed at the Metropolitan Opera and was a guest singer at many leading opera houses worldwide. Stojanović was voted a "Golden voice", one of the four most beautiful operatic voices of the 20th century and is listed as one of the greatest performers of the Verdian repertoire in the Villa Verdi. Ljubomir Stojanović ( sr-cyr, Љубомир Стојановић, sometimes mentioned as ''Ljuba Stojanovic'') (6 August 1860, Užice – 16 June 1930) was a Serbian politician, philologist and academic. Biography Stojanović was a philologist and historian, who graduated from the School of Philosophy at the Grandes écoles (, the ''Grandes Écoles''). After studies in Belgrade he went on to post-graduate studies in Vienna, St. Petersburg and Leipzig. At first a grammar school professor, he was appointed university professor at his ''alma mater'', the Grandes écoles (1891-1899). Ivan Stojanović
Ivan Stojanović (17 December 1829 – December 1900) was a Catholic priest from Dubrovnik. He wrote the book ''Dubrovačka Književnost'', published in 1900, arguing that the people of Dubrovnik were Roman Catholic by religion, but by language Serbs. He was involved with the literary journal ''Slovinac''. Early life Ivan "Ivo" Stojanović was born in Dubrovnik on 17 December 1829. He studied in Dubrovnik and Zadar. Danijel Stojanović (born 18 August 1984) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a left-back. A part from playing as a left-back as his main position, he can even play in a more advanced left wing-back role. Mijat Stojanović
Mijat Stojanović (26 September 1818 – 18 September 1881) was a Croats, Croatian educator, ethnographer and folk writer. Mijat Stojanović was born in Babina Greda, a municipality in the Vukovar-Srijem County in Croatia in 1818, and died in Zagreb in 1881. He was politically engaged, and fought against the dualist monarchy which was at the expense of Yugoslav people. He stood for co-operation of South Slavs, South Slavic peoples and the advanced ideas. Aleksandar "Dika" Stojanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Стојановић Дика; born 19 June 1954) is a Serbian former football goalkeeper. He got 2 caps for Yugoslavia. Career After playing 5 seasons with his home town club Radnički Kragujevac, he moved, in 1976, to Red Star Belgrade. In the seven years that he played in Belgrade, he won three national championships and one cup. He is also remembered as the goalkeeper that did nothing but applaud after the memorable volley of Diego Maradona, playing in a European Cup match against FC Barcelona. Mirko Stojanović (born 11 June 1939 in Zagreb) is a Croatian retired footballer. In his career, he made four international appearances for the Yugoslavia national team. Playing career Club While playing for NK Dinamo Zagreb he won the 1959–60 Yugoslav Cup. In 1963–64 while at Red Star Belgrade he won both the Yugoslav First League title and his second Yugoslav Cup.
