Bryant Lamonica Stith (born December 10, 1970) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is currently a men's assistant basketball coach at University of North Carolina Greensboro. Playing career College career Stith was the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Year in 1989. He finished his career in 1992 as Virginia’s all-time leading scorer with 2,516 points. Stith earned first-team All-ACC honors three times and was named the Most Valuable Player of the 1992 National Invitation Tournament. Charles R. Stith (born 29 August 1949) is an American businessman, diplomat, former educator, author and politician. He is currently the Chairman of The Pula Group, LLC., which invests in high value opportunities in Africa. He is the non-executive chairman of the African Presidential Leadership Center, a Johannesburg-based NGO focused on leadership development and tracking economic and political trends in Africa. He established and formerly directed Boston University's African Presidential Center. Prior to this, Stith presented his letter of credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the United Republic of Tanzania in September 1998. John Stith ( fl. 1631–1694) was a member of the Virginia House of Burgesses and the progenitor of the Stith family, one of the first families of Virginia. Early life John Stith was born in Kirkham in Lancashire, England in 1625. Stith ancestors were likely from the Kirkham area. Colonial America Stith, the first person in colony of Virginia with that surname, received a land grant in 1652 with Samuel Eale for 500 acres in Charles City County, Virginia, where he settled. Laura Denvir Stith (born October 30, 1953) is a former judge of the Supreme Court of Missouri. She served from 2001 to 2021. She was elected by her fellow Supreme Court justices to serve a two-year term as Chief Justice, from July 1, 2007, to June 30, 2009, becoming the second woman to serve as Missouri's highest-ranking jurist. Stith graduated in 1971 from John Burroughs School, a private school in metro St. Louis, Missouri. Thomas A. Stith III is a North Carolina political figure. Stith was a member of the city council of Durham, North Carolina from 1999 to 2007. More recently, he has served as Program Director for Economic Development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, and then as North Carolina district director for the federal Small Business Administration. William Stith (1707 – September 19, 1755) was an early American historian and an Anglican minister. He was the third president of the College of William & Mary (1752–1755), where Stith Hall was named for him. Early life Stith was the son of Captain John Stith and Mary Randolph, a daughter of William Randolph (1650– 1711). Stith's grandfather was Major John Stith, who participated in Nathaniel Bacon's rebellion. Stith was educated at the College of William & Mary's Grammar School and The Queen's College, Oxford.
