Agnes Newhall Stillwell
Agnes Ellen Newhall Stillwell (March 4, 1906 – April 8, 1957) was an American archaeologist, focused on Corinth. Early life and education Newhall was born Agnes Ellen Milan in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Agnes was partly raised by an aunt, educator Laura L. Newhall, in Boston. Agnes was described as a niece of Millie Milan and her older sister Hattie Hamblen, when both women died on the same day, in Maine in 1932. Newhall graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1927, and pursued graduate studies on a fellowship at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, where she was based until 1935. Career Stillwell moved to Princeton, New Jersey, because her husband was a professor there. She continued working alongside her husband in Greece, and writing scholarly articles. Stillwell is an American rock band formed by Q-Unique from The Arsonists and Kings Bounty, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu from Korn, and Wuv from P.O.D. The band has released three albums and one EP. They released their third studio album, ''Supernatural Miracle'', on September 18, 2020. History Stillwell formed in early 2006, quickly entering the studio, and putting out their first single, "Killing Myself to Live" in October 2007. Since then, the band has been off-and-on recording their first album, although Fieldy's involvement in Korn is thought to play a factor in the long recording process. The band released their first album, a CD/DVD package, titled ''Dirtbag in 2011''. They have released several trailers for the album, which can be seen on YouTube. StillWell were confirmed to be opening for Korn during the second leg of the '' Music as a Weapon V'' Tour. Stillwell Avenue is a major two-way north–south thoroughfare in southern Brooklyn and the central section of Coney Island. It is long and begins at a dead end at Riegelmann Boardwalk on Coney Island. The road goes north, leaving Coney Island, ending at Bay Parkway (Brooklyn), Bay Parkway, where the road continues as the Bay Ridge Parkway (former New York State Route 439, Route 439). On December 11, 2008, it acquired the subsidiary name Polar Bear Club Walk, named for the Coney Island Polar Bear Club. Stilwell / ᏍᏗᎳᏪᎵ is a city located in the sovereign territory of the Cherokee Nation. It is also the county seat of Adair County, Oklahoma. The population was 3,700 as of the 2020 U.S. census, a decline of 6.7 percent from the 3,949 population recorded in 2010. The Oklahoma governor and legislature proclaimed Stilwell as the "Strawberry Capital of the World” in 1949, but the role of strawberries in the local economy has diminished significantly since then. Today, residents of Stilwell are among the poorest and most impoverished in the United States. Stilwell is an unincorporated community in Johnson County, Kansas, United States, and part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. History Stilwell had its start when the Missouri Pacific Railroad began to plan to extend the railroad from Kansas City into the south. The railroad was initially planned to run through the town of Aubry, but due to the topography, the railroad decided to place the tracks a half mile to the east. This lead Michael O'Keefe, J. Larkin, W. A. Kelly, and A. J. Norman to file a plat for Mt. Auburn in 1886, which would eventually become Stilwell. The first post office in Stilwell was established in June 1888 and the population of Aubry eventually declined. It was renamed to Stilwell in 1889. Like many towns along the line to the Gulf of Mexico, it is named for Arthur Stilwell, founder of what became the Kansas City Southern Railroad.
