Stig-Arild Kleven
Stig Kleven (born 12 January 1967) is a Norwegian sport wrestler. His achievements include a fourth place at the 1988 Summer Olympics, a sixth place at the world championships, a bronze medal at the European championships, one Nordic title, and eleven Norwegian titles. Personal life Kleven was born in Notodden on 12 January 1967. Career Kleven represented the clubs SK Snøgg (Tønsberg), IF Urædd (Porsgrunn), Sportsklubben av 09 (Oslo), and Kolbotn IL. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics, where he placed 4th in Greco-Roman wrestling. He became Nordic champion in 1988. He placed sixth at the 1994 World Wrestling Championships. Notodden
Notodden () is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Øst-Telemark. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Notodden. Notodden was separated from the municipality of Heddal in 1913 to become a separate city and municipality. On 1 January 1964, the rural municipalities of Heddal and Gransherad were merged into Notodden to form a new enlarged municipality. Notodden is on the shore of Heddalsvatnet lake, and the Tinn River runs through the town into the lake. Norway's biggest stave church, Heddal Stave Church, can be seen a few kilometres from the city centre. Notodden Airport, Tuven, is located west of the city centre. Norsk Hydro was founded in this town. Notodden is well known for the annual Notodden Blues Festival, which is considered one of the best blues festivals in Europe. Kongepokalen (officially: Hans Majestet Kongens Pokal) is a Norwegian trophy awarded during Norwegian championships in a number of sports. In addition to Norwegian championships, it is also awarded in the World Cup-race in Nordic combined in Holmenkollen. The first known King's Cup awarded to a sport within the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF) was set up by King Oscar II for Husebyrennet in 1879. The trophies are paid for jointly by the Royal Court and NIF. King's trophies are awarded to most sports organized in NIF. The trophy is set up for the woman and man who deliver the supposed best result during a senior Norwegian Championship.
