Stewart House (Australia)
Stewart House is a charitable foundation and centre for children, based in Curl Curl, New South Wales. The organisation was founded in 1931 as a "preventorium" which provided respite for public school children during the Great Depression. Sick or malnourished children visited the centre because of the healthy atmosphere near the sea, good food, and available exercise. During their stay, children are provided with optometric, dental and medical treatment as well as emotional support. Since its foundation, Stewart House has catered for over 200,000 children who typically spend a fortnight at the house. It is currently funded by donations from public school teachers. Henry Stewart House
The Henry Stewart House is a historic house at 294 Linden Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. The -story brick building was built c.1900–01, and is a rare local example of Jacobethan style. The house was built as the gardener's cottage for Cornelia Warren's Cedar Hill estate. The house was designed by Boston architect John A. Fox. Fox based his design on that of Nun Upton, a 17th-century English country house in Herefordshire near Brimfield which is now a Grade II listed building."Current Periodicals," Architectural Review' 9, no. 2 (February 1902): 70-72. The house has a T-shaped plan, with projecting end gables that project upward in curved Flemish styling. The second level above the main entrance is half-timbered wood construction. Peggy Stewart House
The Peggy Stewart House, also known as the Rutland-Jenifer-Stone House, is a Georgian-style house in Annapolis, Maryland. Built between 1761 and 1764 by Thomas Rutland as a rental property, it was owned at various times by Thomas Stone and U.S. Founding Father Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer. In October 1774 it was owned by Anthony Stewart, owner of the ship '' Peggy Stewart''. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 for its associations with the burning of Anthony Stewart's ship, Peggy Stewart, as well as for its architectural significance as a mid- to late 18th century Georgian mansion.
