Heatwave '94: the Battle for the Future was the first Heat Wave professional wrestling event produced by Eastern Championship Wrestling. It took place on July 16, 1994 in the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States. Storylines The event featured wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) was an American professional wrestling promotion that was based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and operated by its parent company HHG Corporation.
