Stevie Grieve
Stevie Grieve (born 31 December 1986) is a Scottish football manager, currently in charge of Finnish club SJK. Having never played football professionally, he was described by the BBC Sport as the person who "has a wealth of experience in scouting and analysis." Career Grieve played futsal for Perth Saltires in his teenage years. His first taste of coaching came when he teach "a group of inquisitive children how to do tricks like an elastico and a rainbow flick". This caught an attention from the owner, who offered him a job at aged 16. When Grieve was 17, he acknowledge his "talent for coaching". Grieve worked part-time in River Island and a call centre while coaching at the Letham Tangerines youth teams. During his career, Grieve has coached in United States, India, Scotland, Switzerland and Finland. While in India, he had a weekly TV-program called The Mind Game. Perth (; ) is a centrally located Cities of Scotland, Scottish city, on the banks of the River Tay. Mikkelin Palloilijat (or MP) is a Finnish professional football club, based in Mikkeli, that competes in the Ykkönen, the third tier in Finnish football league system. The club was founded in 1929 and also included volleyball, bandy and ice hockey sections. History In 1998, MP merged with Mikkelin Kissat to form FC Mikkeli. Due to financial difficulties, this union was dissolved in 2001 and the two clubs returned to manage individually. It played in the Finnish First Division (''Ykkönen'') from 2004 to 2006 but was relegated to Kakkonen at the end of the season. 2024 Veikkausliiga
The 2024 Veikkausliiga was the 94th season of top-tier football in Finland, which takes place from April to November. Veikkaus was the league's sponsor. Teams The league consisted of twelve teams; ten teams remaining from the previous season, and two teams promoted from the Ykkönen. HJK entered the season as defending champions (for the fourth consecutive season). Team changes EIF were promoted as champions of the 2023 Ykkönen (returning to the top flight after a 90-year absence), replacing the bottom-placed 2023 Veikkausliiga team ( KTP, relegated after a single-year stint in top flight).
