Steve Zouski
Steve Zouski (born August 14, 1954) is an American former professional heavyweight boxer who competed from 1978 to 1991. Known for his toughness in the ring, he fought several prominent boxers, including Mike Tyson, George Foreman, and Tommy Morrison. Early life and amateur career Born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Zouski graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972. While still in high school, he trained at Gust Boxing Gym in Auburndale. Stationed in Iwakuni, Japan, in January 1974, the 19-year-old Marines enlistee was two years into a four-year term. On October 17–18, he won the light heavyweight title and most valuable boxer honors at the Commander, Naval Forces Japan tournament. After his military service, he pursued diesel mechanics at Mid-State Technical Institute. While continuing to box, he captured the 1978 North Central Wisconsin Golden Gloves title. Heavyweight is a weight class in combat sports and professional wrestling. Marvis Frazier (born September 12, 1960) is an American former professional boxer who fought in the heavyweight division. The son of Joe Frazier, he challenged once for the heavyweight title. Early life Marvis was born September 12, 1960, in Philadelphia, the son of the then future world heavyweight champion, Joe Frazier. Marvis was at ringside for all of his father's fights after the second Oscar Bonavena bout in December 1968, including the great fights with Muhammad Ali. José Ribalta
José Manuel Ribalta (born March 31, 1963) is a Cuban former professional boxer who competed in the heavyweight division from 1982 to 1999. A talented and physically imposing gatekeeper (6 ft 6 in tall with 80 in reach), Ribalta is best known for his brave performance against Mike Tyson in 1986. ARCO Arena (1985)
ARCO Arena (originally called the Sacramento Sports Arena and sometimes referred to as the ''Original ARCO Arena'' or ''ARCO Arena I'' to distinguish it from its successor) was an indoor arena in Sacramento, California. It was the NBA's smallest arena as it held just 10,333 people and was built in 1985 to temporarily accommodate the NBA's Sacramento Kings, who had relocated from Kansas City. The arena's first event was a fashion show on September 20, 1985. The arena also hosted boxing matches. The idea to move the Kings to the building was first pitched in late 1984, with the building being described as a "warehouse under construction" by ''The Sacramento Bee''. Johnny du Plooy (27 September 1964 – 12 April 2013) was a South African former heavyweight boxer best known for his win over former WBA World Heavyweight champion Mike Weaver. He challenged once for the WBO World Heavyweight title in 1989. Boxing career Amateur career du Plooy had a very impressive amateur record of 196-4.
