Suk-Min "Steve" Sung (born 1985) is a South Korean professional poker player residing in Torrance, California who is a two time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and a three time final tablist of World Poker Tour Championships. Sung was born in Seoul, South Korea. At the age of seven, Sung and his family, moved from South Korea to the United States, His interest in poker began when he notice his father playing the game then later Steve would play friends of his while still attending high school, after he graduated, Sung attended the University of California, San Diego to study both computer engineering and economics but dropped out of college in order to become a full-time professional poker player. Seven-Card Stud
Seven-card stud, also known as Seven-Toed Pete or Down-The-River is a variant of stud poker. Before the 2000s surge of popularity of Texas hold 'em, seven-card stud was the most widely played poker variant in home games across the United States, and in casinos in the eastern part of the country. Although seven-card stud isn't as common in casinos today, it is still played online. The game is commonly played with two to eight players, though eight may require special rules for the last cards dealt if no players fold. With experienced players who fold often, playing with nine players is possible. In casino play, it is common to use a small ante and bring-in. In home games, it is typical to use an ante only. Phil Galfond (born January 16, 1985) is an American professional poker player. Galfond won three World Series of Poker bracelets, in the $5,000 buy-in pot-limit Omaha with rebuys event in 2008, the $10,000 no-limit 2-7 single draw championship in 2015 and the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship in 2018. Lüske is a mentor to and encourages the development of younger poker players.
