Stephen Edward Schmidt (born September 28, 1970) is an American political and corporate strategist. He is best known as a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, and for working on Republican political campaigns, including those of President George W. Bush, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Arizona Senator John McCain during his John McCain 2008 presidential campaign, 2008 presidential campaign. North Plainfield is a Borough (New Jersey), borough in Somerset County, New Jersey, Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is located within the Raritan River, Raritan Valley region.
