Steve Marohl
Steve Marohl was an All-American lacrosse player at UMBC from 1988 to 1992. Career Marohl is among the all-time Division I leaders in single-season scoring with 37 goal and 77 assists for 114 points in 15 games. He is also the all-time career leading scorer at UMBC with 105 goals and 137 assists for 242 points. He was selected third team All American in 1992. Marohl's 12 assists against University of Pennsylvania remains the single game recordIn his final two seasons at UMBC, the Retrievers had 10-5 records each year, including wins against Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn and Ohio State. UMBC was coached then by National lacrosse Hall of Fame former Johns Hopkins player, Dick Watts. Marohl played professionally for the National Lacrosse League's Baltimore Thunder in 1993 and Pittsburgh CrosseFire in 2000. Baltimore Thunder
The Baltimore Thunder were a member of the National Lacrosse League from 1987 until 1999. They were based in Baltimore, Maryland, and won the first Eagle Pro Box Lacrosse League (later the National Lacrosse League) championship in 1987. WNAV
WNAV (1430 AM) is a radio station located in Annapolis, Maryland. It first went on the air on April 22, 1949, from studios at 89 West Street in Annapolis. Its first president and general manager was Albert H. MacCarthy. The full-service outlet still broadcasts at 1430 kilohertz, its original location on the AM dial. Owner Pat Sajak, the host of ''Wheel of Fortune,'' reached a deal to sell the station to local investors in October 2021. In December, the new management informed on-air staff that they would be let go at the end of the month. WNAV also uses an FM translator, W260BM, that broadcasts at 99.9 MHz. The Minnesota Swarm was a box lacrosse team in the National Lacrosse League who played at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota from 2004 until 2015. The team's previous owners (Minnesota Sports & Entertainment) who also own the NHL's Minnesota Wild purchased the rights to the inactive Montreal Express team on August 10, 2004.
