Steve Jones (Welsh Presenter)
Stephen Ashton Jones (born 16 March 1977) is a Welsh television presenter from Tylorstown, Wales, who currently leads the presenting team on Channel 4 F1. He presented Channel 4's teen schedule T4 from 2003 to 2010. In the United States, he hosted the first series of '' The X Factor USA''. Early life Jones was born in Tylorstown, and currently resides in both London and Los Angeles. Career After starting his career as a model for ''Esquire'', Jones moved into presenting. ''The X Factor'', also known as ''The X Factor USA'', is an American reality television music competition show created by Simon Cowell and produced by FremantleMedia North America and SYCOtv, a partnership between Cowell and Sony Music Entertainment, which aired on Fox. Based on the original British show, and an addition to ''The X Factor'' franchise, the series found new singing talent (solo artists and groups ages 12 and over), drawn from public auditions, and they competed against each other for votes. The Pop Factory
The Pop Factory (TPF) is a music and media complex in Porth, Rhondda, South Wales, which gave its name to a pop music TV show of the early 2000s. The music venue was founded by married couple Emyr Afan and Mair Afan Davies. The Pop Factory was a converted soft drinks factory, formerly belonging to the "Welsh Hills" brand (which later became "Corona"). The pop factory was situated in the Thomas and Evans building. Thomas and Evans, were both buried in the Rhondda, also owned Bronwydd House and Porth Park. It was officially opened by Tom Jones in 2000, by smashing a bottle of dandelion and burdock against its walls. The weekly shows were first broadcast by BBC1 Wales before being picked up by HTV/ITV Wales. Janice Berry (née Chegwin; 5 April 1955 – 25 December 2021), known professionally by her first married name Janice Long, was an English broadcaster who was best known for her work in British music radio. ''101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow'' is a British game show produced by Initial (a subsidiary of Endemol UK) for the BBC hosted by Steve Jones and Nemone. On each episode, eight contestants compete for a £10,000 prize by picking the correct answers to general knowledge questions, all the while standing on a tower configured for various stunts. ''Guinness World Records Smashed'' is a British television show for Sky1, that features record attempts, celebrity guests and death-defying stunts. A one-off pilot episode was transmitted on 23 November 2008, and a full 10-part series was broadcast on Sky1 from 19 April to 21 June 2009. The show was produced by British independent production company, Outline Productions with Guinness World Records. Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group (a division of Comcast).
