Steve Edwards (American Football)
Steven Edwards (born February 20, 1979) is an American former professional American football, football Guard (American football), guard. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2002. He played college football at UCF Knights football, UCF. Edwards was also a member of the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Soul, Arizona Rattlers, Sacramento Mountain Lions, California Redwoods, and Chicago Rush. Early life Edwards was born and raised on the southside of Chicago in the Beverly neighborhood. Edwards played grade school ball at St. Barnabas Elementary, went on to play high school football at Mount Carmel High School (Chicago), and was starting tackle on the undefeated 1996 Illinois State Champions team. Showdown (1993 Film)
''Showdown'' (also known as ''American Karate Tiger'') is a 1993 action/martial arts film directed by Robert Radler. The film stars Billy Blanks, Kenn Scott, Christine Taylor, Ken McLeod, Patrick Kilpatrick, and Brion James. The movie is reminiscent of 1984's ''The Karate Kid''. Blanks has the Pat Morita role and Scott is in Ralph Macchio's; Taylor and McLeod have the Elisabeth Shue and William Zabka roles, respectively, while Kilpatrick is in Martin Kove's. Plot Billy Grant is a police officer who is called to stop a noise complaint at a local party. Along with his partner, Spinelli, Billy enters the house to find two men causing all sorts of trouble. When Billy attempts to stop things peacefully, one of the thugs attempts to assault Billy, who uses his unarmed combat skills to stop the thug. Steve Edwards (footballer)
Steve Edwards is a footballer who played as a defender in the Football League for Oldham Athletic, Crewe Alexandra, Rochdale and Tranmere Rovers. His long association with Oldham Athletic began when he signed as an associate schoolboy in October 1973. He signed professional terms in 1976, and captained both the youth and reserve teams before making his league debut at Mansfield Town in April 1978. Originally a midfield player, by then he was largely playing as a defender. In spite of some reasonably long first team spells over the next four seasons he found himself constantly facing strong competition for the full back place, and after a total of 85 appearances in League and Cup Competitions he was transferred to Crewe Alexandra in February 1983.
