Steve Christensen
Steve Christensen (born April 23, 1978) is a Grammy Award winning American recording engineer, record producer and musician. Career Steve began his recording career in Houston, Texas at SugarHill Recording Studios in 1998 as an intern and quickly moved up to lead engineer by 2000. His work includes international touring as live sound engineer for Destiny's Child and studio albums by Jermaine Dupri, Cash Money Records, Steve Earle, Khruangbin and Robert Ellis. Steve operates his own studio in downtown Houston, Texas. Lincoln Durham is an American alternative rock, southern gothic, revival punk, psycho blues, Americana singer, songwriter and one-man-band musician. History Lincoln Durham was born in Whitney, Texas and grew up in Itasca, Texas. Durham started out playing fiddle when he was four. He competed in fiddle contests in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, and when he was ten, he won the Texas State Youth Fiddle Championship. In high school, Durham switched to electric guitar citing Nirvana as the inspiration for a new direction. After high school he took a break from music, but he returned, switching over to acoustic guitar and picking up a slide guitar style. Durham was mentored by Ray Wylie Hubbard. Shinyribs is an American southern soul, swamp-funk band from Austin, Texas. History Shinyribs began in 2007 as a solo side project of singer/guitar player Kevin Russell, then of longtime Austin band The Gourds. At first "Shinyribs" referred to Russell personally in connection with his solo shows, but Russell later performed under the name "Shinyribs" in a band with other musicians, such as Gourds bandmate, drummer Keith Langford. "Shinyribs" then transitioned to be the name of the band as well. The name derives from something called out to Russell by a transient woman to whom he had previously given a plate of ribs. After the Gourds went on hiatus in 2013, Shinyribs became Russell's and Langford's primary vehicle. The Mastersons, husband and wife duo Chris Masterson and Eleanor Whitmore, is an American alternative country band from Brooklyn, New York. Career History Masterson and Whitmore, both Texas born, enjoyed successful careers as supporting musicians. Masterson toured with Son Volt, and Whitmore played fiddle for Kelly Willis. They met at a 2006 Steamboat Springs music festival, and married each other in 2009. Masterson assisted on Whitmore's solo record in 2009, and Whitmore provided harmony vocals and violin on Masterson's EP. In 2011 the duo joined Steve Earle's touring band, The Dukes and Duchesses.
