Sterling Sturtevant
Sterling Sturtevant (1922–1962) was a designer and art director for animated cartoons in an era in which few women were worked in Hollywood animation. Some of her early work was done under her married name Sterling Glasband. Biography Sturtevant was born June 20, 1922, in Redlands, California. She attended the University of Redlands from 1940 to 1944, and then attended Chouinard Art Institute, before taking her first job in animation at Walt Disney Pictures. Animation is a filmmaking technique whereby image, still images are manipulated to create Motion picture, moving images.
