He is the founder of the housebuilders Redrow plc, a former chairman of Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., and founder of the charitable Steve Morgan Foundation. Stephen Morgan (January 25, 1854 – February 9, 1928) was a U.S. Representative from Ohio. Early life and career Born in Jackson County, Ohio, Morgan attended the common schools, Central College, Worthington, Ohio, and the National Normal University, Lebanon, Ohio. He taught in the public schools of Jackson County for a number of years. School examiner for nine years and principal of Oak Hill Academy for fifteen years. Congress Morgan was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-sixth, Fifty-seventh, and Fifty-eighth Congresses (March 4, 1899 – March 3, 1905). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1904 to the Fifty-ninth Congress. Retirement and death He moved to Columbus, Ohio, and retired from public life. Stephen James Morgan (born 17 January 1981) is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Portsmouth South since the 2017 general election. Early life Morgan is originally from Fratton, a district of Portsmouth; where he attended local state schools including the comprehensive Priory School (at which he was Deputy Head Boy) in Southsea and then Portsmouth College in Baffins. He was the first in his family to go to university studying politics and sociology at the University of Bristol before gaining a master's degree in politics at Goldsmiths in London. He was active in his community at a young age, inspired by his parents’ involvement in the area. Morgan's grandfather, from Southsea, left Portsmouth aged 17 to take part in the D-day landings where he served in the Royal Army Service Corps.
