Stephen Kiama
Stephen Gitahi Kiama (born 1964) is a Kenyan veterinary surgeon and academic who, effective 6 January 2020, served as the 8th vice chancellor of the University of Nairobi, the oldest public university of Kenya. The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive of the university and as further provided for in the Charter is the Academic and Administrative head of the university On 2 August 2024, Prof. Stephen Kiama was suspended from the position of Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, as announced by Prof. Amukowa Anangwe, the chairperson of the university's council. Prof. Amukowa Anangwe's appointment was on 22 February 2025 revoked by the Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba, citing mismanagement, staff interference, and governance conflicts at the university. Othaya
Othaya is a Kenyan town about 120 kilometres north of Nairobi, the capital. It had a population of 21,427, of which 4,108 are core urban (1999 census ); the majority of the residents are of the Kikuyu tribe. Othaya is part of the Nyeri County. Peter Mulwa Felix Mbithi (born 4 July 1956) is a Kenyan veterinary surgeon, academic and former academic administrator, who served as the 7th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya's oldest public university, from January 2015, until July 2019. George Magoha
George Albert Omore Magoha (2 July 1952 – 24 January 2023) was a Kenyan consultant surgeon, academic administrator and technocrat, who served as a Professor of Surgery at Maseno University's School of Medicine, in Kisumu County as from 17 January 2023 till his death. Immediately before his last assignment, he was the Cabinet Secretary of Education in the Cabinet of Kenya, under President Uhuru Kenyatta's second term effective 26 March 2019.
