Stephanie Patton
Stephanie Patton (born August 13, 1969) is a contemporary multimedia artist whose work crosses the realms of photography, sculpture, painting, installation, performance, video, audio and text. Life Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Patton received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1993 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1996. She has studied various types of vocal and comedic performance in New York, New York through The New School, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and the Gotham Writers' Workshop. After living in New York City, she returned to Louisiana in 2001 and currently lives and works in Lafayette, Louisiana. She has co-curated many exhibits at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, Louisiana with curator Brian Guidry. McNay Art Museum
The McNay Art Museum, founded in 1954 in San Antonio, is the first modern art museum in the U.S. state of Texas. The museum was created by Marion Koogler McNay's original bequest of most of her fortune, her important art collection and her 24-room Spanish Colonial Revival-style mansion that sits on that are landscaped with fountains, broad lawns and a Japanese-inspired garden and fishpond. McNay was an American painter and art teacher who inherited a substantial oil fortune upon the death of her father. The museum was named after her, and has been expanded to include galleries of medieval and Renaissance artwork and a larger collection of 20th-century European and American modernist work. Ogden Museum Of Southern Art
The Ogden Museum of Southern Art is located in the Warehouse Arts District of downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. Established in 1999, and in Stephen Goldring Hall at 925 Camp Street since 2003. The building The Ogden consists of two main buildings: the Patrick F. Taylor Library built in 1889 and designed by architect Henry Hobson Richardson, and the adjacent Stephen Goldring Hall (named after Stephen Goldring), a 47,000-square-foot, five-story glass and stone building built in 2003. Brian Guidry
Brian Guidry (born 1968 in New Iberia, Louisiana) is a contemporary painter, and installation artist. Art While Guidry considers himself primarily a painter, he also works in multiple media such as sculpture, environmental installations and video. Guidry creates installations that in some sense are a recording of the natural environment. The colors he uses in his work have been sampled from the landscape. In the New Orleans installation "Surge", dried Johnson grass (''Sorghum halepense'') is the source for color. As an artist concerned with the dynamics of the environment, technology, power and the manipulation of nature are recurring themes in his work.
