Steph Bridge
Stephanie "Steph" Bridge (born 14 July 1972) is a British kitesurfer who became the World Formula Kite champion five times between 2009 and 2016. She is the leading figure in the "Team Bridge" family. Life Bridge was born on 14 July 1972. She won her first Formula Kite World Championship at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco in 2009. This was the final race of six championship races and qualification rounds. Sean Farley took the men's championship. She won four more Formula Kite World Championships between 2009 and 2016, and two medals at the Formula Kite European Championships, gold in 2012 and silver in 2016. In 2012 she was in Cagliari in Italy at the Kiteboard Course Racing World championships. She took the silver medal after being narrowly beaten by the American Erika Heineken who took the gold. Formula Kite
Formula Kite is the kitesurfing class chosen by World Sailing for the 2024 Summer Olympics. The class features a foil kite and a board with a hydrofoil. The equipment is not one-design, but instead competitors use their choice of approved production equipment. The International Kiteboarding Association (IKA) manages the class. The class is for men and women. Erika Heineken
Erika Heineken (born 21 June 1986) is an American mechanical engineer and a competitive kitesurfer. She won a sailing event with her father at the US Nationals in 2006 before she switched to windsurfing and then Formula Kite. She was a Runner-up in the Rolex US Yachtswoman of the Year. She has been the women’s kiteboard racing world champion twice, Life Heineken was born in 1986 and she was on a sailing boat when she was a month old. She lived at Larkspur. She attended the Marin Academy in California after she went to St. Patrick’s, Hall Middle School. Her father, Paul Heineken, was a member of a sailing club and she won a woman skipper event with him in 2006 in a 29er dinghy at the US Nationals. Cowes
Cowes () is an England, English port, seaport town and civil parish on the Isle of Wight. Cowes is located on the west bank of the estuary of the River Medina, facing the smaller town of East Cowes on the east bank. Weifang ( zh, s=潍坊, t=濰坊, p=Wéifāng) is a prefecture-level city in central Shandong province, People's Republic of China. Daniela Moroz ( ; born 2 February 2001) is an American sailor who became the World champion at Formula Kite six times between 2016 and 2022. Life Moroz was born in Berkeley in 2001. Her parents were Czech immigrants. They had both left their country in 1983 pretending to go on holiday but never returning to their country which was under a communist regime. Her parents never met until they were both in California and they shared a common interest in surfing. They dated because of their common life story and they married in 1993. Moroz won six gold medals at the Formula Kite World Championships between 2016 and 2022 and four gold medals at the Formula Kite European Championships between 2017 and 2021. Elena Kalinina
Elena Pavlovna Kalinina (; born 20 July 1997) is a Russian World champion at Formula Kite where competitors use kites to propel small hydrofoils. Kalinina first became a World Champion in 2014 when she was seventeen. Life Kalinina was born in 1997 and she is a Russian sailor from St Petersburg. She competed in China in 2013 where she came third.
