In the United States, she played for the Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Vladimir Ivanovich Stepanov (1866–1896), was a dancer at the Mariinsky Theatre, Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg. His book, ''The Alphabet of Movements of the Human Body'' (French language, French: ''L'Alphabet des Mouvements du Corps Humain) was'' published in Paris in 1892. The book describes a notation that encodes dance movements using musical notes instead of pictographs or abstract symbols. Stepanov breaks complex movements down to elementary moves made by individual body parts, enciphering these basic moves as notes. This method of dance notation, improved by Alexander Gorsky, notated many ballets from choreographer Marius Petipa. With her husband Alexander Rodchenko, she was associated with the Constructivist branch of the Russian avant-garde, which rejected aesthetic values in favour of revolutionary ones. Onufriy Stepanov (russian: Онуфрий Степанов) (died June 30, 1658) was a Siberian Cossack and explorer of the Amur River. Oleg Stepanov (judoka)
Oleg Sergeevich Stepanov (russian: Олег Серге́евич Степанов, 10 December 1939 – 27 February 2010) was a sambo and judo competitor. Domestically he was mostly known for sambo, which was a very popular sport in the Soviet Union, albeit with a limited international recognition. Between 1958 and 1968 Stepanov won eight national titles in sambo. Internationally he competed in judo, which has similar rules to sambo. The first Soviet judo team was formed in 1962 from the best sambo competitors, including Stepanov, and in 1963 it showed its strength in Europe and Japan. Later Stepanov won bronze medals at the 1964 Olympics and 1965 World Championships, as well as European titles in 1965 and 1966. After retiring from competitions Stepanov coached sambo and judo at the Moscow Armed Forces Sports Club, for which he competed previously. In the late 1970s he trained the national women's judo team.
