Steigkoppe
Steigkoppe is a wooded hill in the Spessart range of Bavaria, Germany. The tall hill is located in the district of Aschaffenburg. More specifically, Steigkoppe is in the unincorporated area Sailaufer Forst between Laufach and Jakobsthal, part of Heigenbrücken. The ''Eselsweg'' long-distance hiking path passes over the hill. There is also a district road (AB2) from Sailauf to Wiesen. South of the peak rises the Beibuschbach. To the west lies the source of the Sailaufbach Sailaufbach is a small river of Bavaria, Germany. Laufach
Laufach is a community in the Aschaffenburg district in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Lower Franconia (''Unterfranken'') in Bavaria, Germany. Geography Location The community lies in northwest Bavaria east of Aschaffenburg. Laufach lies in the heart of the Vorspessart (range) and stretches through its outlying centre of Hain into the High Spessart. The community's elevation ranges from 170 to 500 m above sea level, including the peaks of Steigkoppe to the north and Steinknückl to the south. Spessart
Spessart is a '' Mittelgebirge'', a range of low wooded mountains, in the States of Bavaria and Hesse in Germany. It is bordered by the Vogelsberg, Rhön and Odenwald. Aschaffenburg ( Low Franconian: ''Ascheberg'') is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in Bavaria, Germany. Eselsweg
The Eselsweg (English: "donkey trail") is a long-distance hiking trail that follows an ancient trade route through the '' Mittelgebirge'' Spessart, in the states of Hesse and Bavaria, Germany. It is 111 km long and leads from Schlüchtern in the valley of the Kinzig river to Großheubach on the river Main. The trail follows an ancient trade route on which donkey caravans used to transport salt, thus giving rise to the name.
