Stefanos Manos
Stefanos Manos ( el, Στέφανος Μάνος; born 1939) is a Greek politician, former member of the Hellenic Parliament, and a former government minister. Career His political career started in the New Democracy party, for which he became a Member of Parliament in 1977. During the 1980s he would be the unpopular forerunner of Greek privatization. In April 1999, he formed his own party, The Liberals, but following its unsuccessful performance in the elections held in June for the European parliament (1,62%), he returned to the Hellenic Parliament firstly in 2000 as MP in co-operation with the major party of New Democracy, and again in the 2004 elections as independent by the statewide list but surprisingly on a rival PASOK ticket. After he suspended his Liberals' operation in 2002, he established in 2009 his new own party, Drassi, which he continues to lead. Drassi
Drassi (, "Action") was a liberal political party in Greece. The party was founded in 2009 by Stefanos Manos and was led by former New Democracy member Theodoros Skylakakis. The party had no representation in the Hellenic Parliament or European Parliament. Drassi was a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) party. History Stefanos Manos left New Democracy (ND) in 1999 to found The Liberals, before later running on ND and Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) electoral lists in 2000 and 2004 respectively. Unlike The Liberals, Drassi was not founded as an expressly liberal party, but claims to espouse " common sense" as an ideological basis. Michael Monroe Lewis (born October 15, 1960) Gale Biography In Context. is an American author and financial journalist. He has also been a contributing editor to '' Vanity Fair'' since 2009, writing mostly on business, finance, and economics. He is known for his nonfiction work, particularly his coverage of financial crises and behavioral finance. Lewis was born in New Orleans and attended Princeton University, from which he graduated with a degree in art history. After attending the London School of Economics, he began a career on Wall Street during the 1980s as a bond salesman at Salomon Brothers. Efthymios N. Christodoulou ( el, Ευθύμιος Ν. Χριστοδούλου; 1932) is a Greek economist and banker. Biography Christodoulou was born in 1932 in Larissa. He holds a degree from Athens College, a B.A. in Economics from Hamilton College, and a M.A in Economics from Columbia University. Christodoulou has served as Director General of the National Investment Bank for Industrial Development (ETEBA), Executive Chairman of the Board of Olympic Airways, Governor of the National Bank of Greece (1979-1981), President of the Greek Union of Banks, and Governor of the Bank of Greece (1992-1993).
