Stefano Mancinelli
Stefano Mancinelli (born March 17, 1983) is a retired Italian professional basketball player. He also represented the Italian national basketball team. Standing at , he played at the small forward and power forward positions. Professional career Mancinelli joined Fortitudo Bologna in 2000, and he made his debut in the Italian League on April 14, 2001, against Viola Reggio Calabria. He was the captain of Fortitudo from 2005 to 2009, following the team's previous captain, Gianluca Basile. With Fortitudo, he lost the final game of the EuroLeague in the Euroleague 2003–04 season, when they were defeated by Maccabi Tel Aviv. However, he won the Italian Championship with Fortitudo in 2005 against Olimpia Milano. He also won the Italian SuperCup in 2005. The 2006 FIBA World Championship was the 15th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship for men's national teams. The tournament was hosted by Japan and held from 19 August to 3 September 2006. EuroBasket 2005
The 2005 FIBA European Championship, commonly known as FIBA EuroBasket 2005, was the 34th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe. It also served as the European qualifier for the 2006 FIBA World Championship, awarding berths to the top six teams in the final standings. It was held in Serbia and Montenegro from 16 to 25 September 2005. Sixteen national teams entered the event under the auspices of FIBA Europe, the sport's regional governing body. Carlo Recalcati
Carlo Recalcati (born September 11, 1945, in Milan, Italy) is an Italian professional basketball coach, and a former player. He was the head coach of the senior Italian national basketball team, from 2001 to 2009, and led them to the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games, and the bronze medal at the EuroBasket 2003. Playing career As a player on the club level, Recalcati played for Pallacanestro Cantù (1962–1979, winning the Italian League championship in 1968 and 1975), and Pallacanestro Parma (1979–1981). The FIBA U20 EuroBasket is the new name for the FIBA U20 European Championship, originally known as the European Championship for Men '22 and Under'. It is a men's youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1992 edition. Through the 2004 edition, it was held biennially, but since the 2005 edition, it is held every year. The tournament was originally an Under-22 age tournament, but it is now an Under-20 age tournament. The current champions are France. Starting with the 2005 B edition, a Division B tournament, which is the secondary level of the European Under-20 Basketball Championship, is also organized. Since the 2013 B edition, the top three placed teams at each year's Division B tournament are promoted to the next year's Division A Championship.
