Tied & Tickled Trio is a German electronica/ dub/jazz musical collective. It was founded in 1994 by Markus Acher and Christoph Brandner in Weilheim, Bavaria as a polyrythmic duo playing drums only. After the joining of sculptor Andreas Gerth (electronics) and Markus' brother Micha (bass), the core of "Tied & Tickled Trio" was formed and their style turned to jazz. This trend later was fixed with new member coming – Johannes Enders, a studied jazz sax player. The collective shares members with The Notwist, Lali Puna and other bands from the Morr Music label. The Notwist
The Notwist are a German indie rock band. Formed in 1989, the band moved through several musical incarnations, despite maintaining a relatively stable line-up. While their early records moved through heavy metal into dark indie rock, their recent efforts for which they have received the most attention have been strongly influenced by the electronica scene, along with other groups on the record label Morr Music. History The Acher brothers and Messerschmid formed the group in 1989, in Weilheim in Oberbayern, near Munich. In 1990, they recorded their self-titled debut, a grunge-metal oriented LP. 1992 saw the release of ''Nook'', which has an indie rock sound, while their 1995 album ''12'', contains their first flirtation with electronics. 13 & God is a collaboration between American indie hip hop duo Themselves and German indie rock band The Notwist. The group is signed both to Anticon and Alien Transistor. History 13 & God are joined live by Jordan Dalrymple, who now plays Dax Pierson's parts following a 2005 Subtle tour accident which left Dax quadriplegic. As of 2010, Jordan has officially joined, and has been contributing in the studio. In a 2009 interview with ''Pitchfork'', Doseone said, "in 2010 there will be a brand new shiny 13 & G record out in the world." On February 3, 2011, the second album, '' Own Your Ghost'', was announced to be released on Anticon on May 17, 2011. The album features ten tracks, including "Sure As Debt", which is a song written and performed on the 2007 tour. This announcement was accompanied by a preview clip of the song "Armored Scarves" from the album. Couch is an instrumental post-rock band based in Munich, Germany. The band released music on Kitty-Yo Records and starting in 2000 licensed their music to Matador Records for American distribution, issuing full-lengths in 2000 and 2001 concurrently on those labels. Subtle (band)
Subtle was an alternative hip hop sextet from Oakland, California. It consisted of Adam Drucker (Doseone), Jeffrey Logan ( Jel), Dax Pierson, Jordan Dalrymple, Alexander Kort, and Marty Dowers. The band was formed in 2001. While considered by the artists to be "genreless", Subtle had close ties to the hip hop and indie music scene. Electronic music broadly is a group of music genres that employ electronic musical instruments, circuitry-based music technology and software, or general-purpose electronics (such as personal computers) in its creation.
