Stefan Parsons
Stefan Charles Parsons (born June 15, 1998) is an American professional stock car racing driver and spotter. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 02/20 Chevrolet Silverado for Young's Motorsports. He is also the spotter for the No. 7 Spire Motorsports car in the NASCAR Cup Series driven by Justin Haley. He has also previously competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, ARCA Menards Series, and the CARS Tour. Racing career Early career Stefan began racing at age 12 after his father Phil received encouragement from Ken Ragan. CARS Late Model Stock Tour Parsons began racing in the CARS Tour in 2015, where he drove the No. 98 Ford for his father's team, Phil Parsons Racing, in five of the races. He returned to the car in 2016, this time participating in eight of the ten races and finishing 12th in the overall points standings. Pocono Raceway (formerly known as the Pocono International Raceway in early years) is a tri-oval track in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania. The track has held a variety of events since its opening in 1969, including NASCAR, IndyCar Series, and IMSA GT Championship races. The facility is owned by Mattco, Inc. and led by track chief executive officer Nick Igdalsky. After over a decade of planning and construction delays, Pocono Raceway opened in 1969 under the control of David Montgomery. Montgomery quickly left any involvement with the speedway after him and investor Joseph Mattioli disagreed with the facility's future plans, with Mattioli taking over control of the venue. 2019 ARCA Menards Series
The 2019 ARCA Menards Series was the 67th season of the ARCA Menards Series. Christian Eckes of Venturini Motorsports won the championship over teammate Michael Self. Eckes became the first champion since Tim Steele (racing driver), Tim Steele in 1997 to win the title after missing a race during the season. On February 9, 2019, hours before the season-opening Lucas Oil 200 (ARCA), Lucas Oil 200, ARCA announced that the series would be renamed to the ARCA Menards Series for at least 2019 and 2020. The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car racing, stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, Road racing, road courses, and Dirt track racing, dirt tracks.
