Marco Messeri
Marco Messeri (born 15 December 1948) is an Italian actor, comedian, stage director, singer-songwriter and voice actor. Life and career Born in Livorno, Messeri studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze and acting at the drama school of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. He debuted on stage in 1969, in Paolo Poli's ''Il Brasile''. After several supporting roles, in 1987 he debuted in a leading role in Carlo Mazzacurati's ''Notte italiana'', winning a Globo d'oro for best new actor. The same year, he received a Ciak d'oro for best supporting actor thanks to his performance in Massimo Troisi's '' Le vie del Signore sono finite''. In 1995 he won a Nastro d'Argento for best supporting actor for his performance in Francesca Archibugi's '' Con gli occhi chiusi''. Messeri is also a singer-songwriter and composer of songs, usually used in his stage works. Paola Tiziana Cruciani (born 29 May 1958) is an Italian actress, comedian and playwright. Life and career Born in Rome, Cruciani studied acting at the "Laboratorio Teatrale", a theatre workshop directed by Gigi Proietti, graduating in 1981. Between 1981 and 1984 she was a member of the comedy ensemble "La Zavorra", with whom she took part in several television variety shows. In 1984, Cruciani began working on stage as a playwright, actress and director, and in the same year made her film debut in Francesco Laudadio's ''Fatto su misura''. She was married for several years to film director Paolo Virzì, with whom she had a daughter, Ottavia. In 1999, she was nominated for a David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actress thanks to her performance in Virzì's ''Baci e abbracci''. Rai 1 () is an Italian free-to-air television channel owned and operated by state-owned public broadcaster RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana. It is the company's flagship television channel, and is known for broadcasting mainstream and generalist programming, usually aimed towards families, including '' TG1'' news bulletins, prime time drama, cinema and entertainment, and major breaking news, sports and special events. It was launched on 3 January 1954 as the first regular television service in Italy. It was the only one until 4 November 1961, when RAI launched a second channel.
