Stay With It
Stay with It is a campaign in the United States intended to encourage and motivate engineering students to stay with the field of study and graduate with an engineer's degree. It is a collaboration between the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, the private sector and academia. It officially launched on March 14, 2012, with a Day of Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and made available to a nationwide audience through a webcast on Facebook Live. The webcast opened with a message from President Barack Obama. Major General Charles F. Bolden, Jr., Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, noted the occasion, saying that his message to students is simple: "Stay With It! Stay with your studies. Stay with your research. Stay with your dreams as you prepare to take your rightful place as the next great generation of American engineers, innovators and leaders." Engineer's Degree
An engineer's degree is an advanced academic degree in engineering which is conferred in Europe, some countries of Asia and Latin America, North Africa and a few institutions in the United States. The degree may require a thesis but always requires a non-abstract project. The duration of study typically ranges from 4 to 5 years, depending on the country and university. Additionally, there may be further requirements for certifications or licenses to practice engineering after graduation. President's Council On Jobs And Competitiveness
The President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, originally the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board (PERAB), was an ad hoc panel of non-governmental experts from business, labor, academia and elsewhere that President of the United States Barack Obama created on February 6, 2009. The board reported to Obama and his economic team on possible ways to improve the nation's economy. Obama announced this new board on November 26, 2008, and also announced that it would be chaired by former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker with campaign economic adviser Austan Goolsbee as staff director and chief economist. Baldwin Chiu (born May 17, 1974), professionally known as Only Won, is an American rapper, actor, producer and stunt performer. As a hip hop artist, he writes/performs rap, beatboxing, and singing.
