Statement (computer Science)
In computer programming, a statement is a syntactic unit of an imperative programming language that expresses some action to be carried out. A program written in such a language is formed by a sequence of one or more statements. A statement may have internal components (e.g., expressions). Many programming languages (e.g. Ada, Algol 60, C, Java, Pascal) make a distinction between statements and definitions/declarations. A definition or declaration specifies the data on which a program is to operate, while a statement specifies the actions to be taken with that data. Statements which cannot contain other statements are ''simple''; those which can contain other statements are ''compound''.Revised ALGOL 60 report section. 4.1. The appearance of a statement (and indeed a program) is determined by its syntax or grammar. The meaning of a statement is determined by its semantics. Simple statements Simple statements are complete in themselves; these include assignments, subroutin ...

Sentence (linguistics)
In linguistics and grammar, a sentence is a linguistic expression, such as the English example " The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." In traditional grammar, it is typically defined as a string of words that expresses a complete thought, or as a unit consisting of a subject and predicate. In non-functional linguistics it is typically defined as a maximal unit of syntactic structure such as a constituent. In functional linguistics, it is defined as a unit of written texts delimited by graphological features such as upper-case letters and markers such as periods, question marks, and exclamation marks. This notion contrasts with a curve, which is delimited by phonologic features such as pitch and loudness and markers such as pauses; and with a clause, which is a sequence of words that represents some process going on throughout time. A sentence can include words grouped meaningfully to express a statement, question, exclamation, request, command, or suggestion. Typi ...

Therapy Session
''Therapy Session'' is the second studio album by American rapper NF. It was released on April 22, 2016, by Capitol Christian Music Group. Critical reception Indicating in a four star review at '' CCM Magazine'', Matt Conner writes, "fortunately NF digs deeper on an impressive second album." David Craft, allotting the album three and a half stars from Jesus Freak Hideout, believes, "In no way is NF lacking in talent or creativity, but he could afford to exercise a tad more patience. This album doesn't seem quite ready for release, evidenced by the short, one-year gap between ''Mansion'' and ''Therapy Session''. Regardless, NF has blown past the sophomore slump, creating a project well-worth listening to." Awarding the album four and a half stars at Jesus Freak Hideout, Kevin Hoskins writes, "Many are not going to like the pure raw emotions here, but I am a fan of someone who can offer something outside of the box and this fits that bill perfectly." Statement (logic And Semantics)
In logic, the term statement is variously understood to mean either: #a meaningful declarative sentence that is true or false, or #a proposition. Which is the ''assertion'' that is made by (i.e., the meaning of) a true or false declarative sentence. In the latter case, a statement is distinct from a sentence in that a sentence is only one formulation of a statement, whereas there may be many other formulations expressing the same statement. Overview Philosopher of language, Peter Strawson advocated the use of the term "statement" in sense (b) in preference to proposition. Strawson used the term "Statement" to make the point that two declarative sentences can make the same statement if they say the same thing in different ways. Thus in the usage advocated by Strawson, "All men are mortal." and "Every man is mortal." are two different sentences that make the same statement. In either case a statement is viewed as a truth bearer. Examples of sentences that are (or make) true ...

Statement Of Special Educational Needs
Special educational needs (SEN), also known as special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the United Kingdom refers to the education of children who require different education provision to the mainstream system. Definition The definition of SEN is set out in the Education Act 1996 and was amended in the Special Educational Needs and Disability Bill of 2001. Currently, a child or young person is considered to have SEN if they have a disability or learning difficulty that means they need special educational provision. Special educational provision means that the child needs support that would not generally be provided to a child of the same age in a mainstream school. Some examples of SEN include: * A condition which affects behaviour or social skills, such as ADHD or autism * A condition that affects the ability to read and write, such as dyslexia or another specific learning difficulty * A condition which affects the ability to learn, such as a learning disability * ...
