, often stylized as 5★Star GP 2023 was the twelfth annual professional wrestling professional wrestling tournament, tournament under the Stardom 5Star Grand Prix Tournament branch List of major World Wonder Ring Stardom events, promoted by the Professional wrestling in Japan, Japanese professional wrestling promotions, promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom. It took between July 23 and September 30, 2023. Tournament history The Stardom 5 Star Grand Prix is a professional wrestling tournament held each summer by World Wonder Ring Stardom, Stardom. Similar to Bushiroad-owned male counterpart New Japan Pro-Wrestling with the G1 Climax tournament, it is currently held as a round-robin tournament with wrestlers split into two pools. The winner of each pool will compete in the final to decide the winner. As is the case with G1 Climax, a win is two points and a draw is one point for each wrestler. Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. The Royal Rumble match is a professional wrestling match based on the classic Battle Royal match in which a number of wrestlers (traditionally 30) aim at eliminating their competitors by tossing them over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor.
