Star Awards 2025
The 30th installment of Star Awards, Star Awards 2025, honoured the best in Singaporean Mandarin television programming in 2024. The ceremony was held on 6 July 2025 with Channel 8, Channel U airing the show and simulcast on mewatch and YouTube. The ceremony was the first to be held outside April since the revision of the nomination period in 2008, as it was announced to be postponed to 6 July on its initial announcement on 11 February; it was planned to be scheduled in July for this special occasion. Background Star Awards 2025 marked the 30th anniversary of the annual Singaporean television awards ceremony, themed "Walking Through Time Together." Dennis Chew
Dennis Chew Chong Kheng (born 15 August 1973), also known as Zhou Chongqing, is a Singaporean radio deejay, actor, variety show host, businessman and singer. Chew is known for playing Aunty Lucy, a character which requires him to cross-dress as a woman in the variety show '' Paris and Milan''. Early life Chew studied at the former Pearl's Hill Primary School and Tuan Mong High School (predecessor of Ngee Ann Secondary School). At 13, Chew performed in the musical and children's television programme 《成语50》(Chinese Idioms 50). At 14, he was talent scouted for a commercial for Yakult. Star Awards 2018
Star Awards 2018 (also SA2018SG, Chinese: 红星大奖2018) is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore, with the Post Party and Ceremony Awards was broadcast live on 22 April 2018. A total of 15 awards were handed out during the ceremony, among which the Special Achievement Award, an award given out to a celebrity in recognition to meritorious contribution, returned after a 15-year absence, with the award last presented in 2003, in the place of All-Time Favourite Artiste, which was not presented this year, and the third ceremony overall, after 2007 and 2013. The ceremony saw '' When Duty Calls'' winning the most awards, '' The Lead'' was the second-biggest winning drama serial, clinching the two other major categories plus Young Talent award, for a total of three. Jessica Hester Hsuan ( PA: syn hyn born 18 August 1970), also known as Suen Huen, is a Hong Kong actress. Early life Hsuan's father gave her the name Jessica, while her mother gave her the middle name Hester. Richie Koh
Richie Koh (born 16 June 1993) is a Singaporean actor who is signed to MediaCorp. In 2023, Koh won the Star Awards for Best Actor for his critically acclaimed role as an autistic son in the drama series '' Your World in Mine''. Qi Yuwu (born 28 November 1976) is a Chinese actor based in Singapore. He is a permanent resident of Singapore and a contracted artiste under Beijing Enlight Media Group. Early life and career Qi studied at Guangzhou Physical Education Institute before moving to Singapore. The Star Awards for Best Actress is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994.
