Star 1466
The Star 1466 is a tri-axle (6x6) truck in service with the Polish Armed Forces. Produced by Star Trucks (later MAN Star Trucks & Buses), the truck was designed as a replacement for the Star 266, which was phased out of production in 2000. The truck was produced between 2001 and 2006, after which it was succeeded by the Star 1444. The truck, first shown in 1999, utilized MAN components, like crew cab and engine. The same year MAN became an owner of Star Trucks. As a result of MAN policy to gather truck construction in Steyr works, in 2006 it was decided to stop truck manufacturing in Starachowice and this put an end to Polish-designed Star 1466.Brach, Jarosław (2007). FSC Star
Fabryka Samochodów Ciężarowych "Star" (FSC Star), also known simply as Star, was a Polish truck manufacturer. The name comes from the City of Starachowice, where the factory is located. Their first vehicle was the ''Star 20'' in 1948. The most popular product was the '' Star 266''. The 266 model offered very good quality and powerful engines for a low price. It was sold in various countries for many years (not only in the Eastern Bloc; for example it was used by the Yemen Army). For many years, FSC Star was a state-owned company. BM-21 Grad
The BM-21 "Grad" () is a self-propelled 122 mm multiple rocket launcher designed in the Soviet Union. The system and the M-21OF rocket were first developed in the early 1960s, and saw their first combat use in March 1969 during the Sino-Soviet border conflict. ''BM'' stands for ''boyevaya mashina'' ( – combat vehicle), and the nickname means "hail". The complete system with the BM-21 launch vehicle and the M-21OF rocket is designated as the M-21 field-rocket system and is more commonly known as a Grad multiple rocket launcher system. The EUR-pallet, also known as Euro-pallet or EPAL-pallet, is the standard Pallet#Europe, European pallet as specified by the UIC pallet working group and the UIC 435-2 leaflet. The AHS Krab ( Polish for crab) is a 155 mm NATO-compatible self-propelled tracked gun-howitzer designed in Poland by Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW), by combining a modified South Korean K9 Thunder chassis with a British BAE Systems AS-90M Braveheart turret with a 52-calibre gun produced by HSW and the Polish WB Electronics' Topaz artillery fire control system. Jelcz (pronounced like ''Yelch'' after the town of the same name) is a Polish manufacturer of trucks, buses, trolleybuses and different types of dedicated chassis. Starachowice
Starachowice is a city in southeastern Poland (historic Lesser Poland), with 49,513 inhabitants (31.12.2017). It is the capital of Starachowice County in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. It is situated upon the River Kamienna, a tributary of the Vistula River, among hills and forests. History In the location of present-day Starachowice, a forge existed, which in the 16th century belonged to the Starzechowski family (most probably, the name of the town comes from this family).
