Stanton Miranda
Miranda Stanton, best known for her recordings as Stanton Miranda, Miranda Dali and Thick Pigeon, is a 1980s Factory Records artist from New York City. She achieved some notice for her single "Wheels Over Indian Trails" (produced by Stephen Morris (musician), Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert from New Order (band), New Order) and her later cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division. She also guested on recordings by the Durutti Column. Her first band was CKM in New York with Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, where she played drums. She had a brief acting career, appearing in the Jonathan Demme films, ''Something Wild (1986 film), Something Wild'', ''Married to the Mob'' and ''The Silence of the Lambs (film), Silence of the Lambs''. Factory Records
Factory Records was a Manchester-based British independent record label founded in 1978 by Tony Wilson and Alan Erasmus. The label featured several important acts on its roster, including Joy Division, New Order (band), New Order, A Certain Ratio, the Durutti Column, Happy Mondays, Northside (band), Northside, and (briefly) Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and James (band), James. Factory also ran The Haçienda nightclub, in partnership with New Order. Factory Records used a creative team (most notably record producer Martin Hannett and graphic designer Peter Saville (graphic designer), Peter Saville) which gave the label and the artists recording for it a particular sound and image. ''Psycho III'' is a 1986 American slasher film, and the third film in the ''Psycho'' franchise. It stars Anthony Perkins, who also directs the film, reprising the role of Norman Bates. Girls Against Boys
Girls Against Boys is a post-hardcore band which formed in Washington, D.C., and subsequently relocated to New York City shortly after their formation in 1989. The band released albums on the labels Adult Swim, Touch and Go Records, Geffen Records, and Jade Tree from 1990 to 2002. The band then sporadically played shows from 2003 until 2009 when they became inactive as a whole. In 2013, Girls Against Boys briefly toured and self-released their first new material in 11 years. LTM Recordings
LTM Recordings (originally les temps modernes) is a British independent record label founded in 1983, and best known for reissues of artists and music from 1978 to the present day, as well as modern classical and avant-garde composition. The label is based in Norfolk, England, and is curated by James Nice.
