A luger begins seated, propelling themselves initially from handles on either side of the start ramp, then steers by using the Calf (leg), calf muscles to flex the sled's runners or by exerting opposite shoulder pressure to the pod. Schönau am Königssee is a Municipalities of Germany, municipality in the district of Berchtesgadener Land in the Germany, German state of Bavaria. It is located at the northern end of the Königssee lake.
