Stanisław Fiszer
Stanisław Fiszer (3 October 1769, Warsaw, Poland – 18 October 1812, Tarutino, Russian Empire) was Polish General and Chief of Staff of the Duchy of Warsaw. He was married to Wirydianna Fiszerowa. An inhabitant of Poland, his family was originally from Germany. Between 1783 and 1788, he attended the Corps of Cadets and joined Tadeusz Kosciuszko's brigade which was part of Poland's Division. Under Kosciuszko's command he fought in the Polish-Russian war of 1792. He took part in the battle of Polonno and the battle of Dubienka and moved up the ranks, eventually becoming a lieutenant. He was given the highest military decoration for heroism and courage in Poland—the Virtuti Militari. The Duchy of Warsaw (; ; ), also known as the Grand Duchy of Warsaw and Napoleonic Poland, was a First French Empire, French client state established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1807, during the Napoleonic Wars. Wirydianna Fiszerowa
Wirydianna Fiszerowa (born Wirydianna Radolińska, using the Leszczyc coat of arms, later Wirydianna Kwilecka; 1761 in Wyszyny – 1826 in Działyń) was a Polish noblewoman best known for her memoirs, which mention her life in pre- and post-partition Poland and her relations with prominent people of the time, including King Frederick II of Prussia, Izabela Czartoryska, King Stanisław II Augustus, Józef Poniatowski, Jan Henryk Dąbrowski, and Tadeusz Kościuszko, whom she adored.
