Stanisław Wojciech Bergman (13 April 1862, Krosno – 28 August 1930, Krosno) was a Polish painter of historical scenes, Genre art, genre scenes, portraits and still-lifes. Biography He was born to a wealthy bourgeois family. From 1879 to 1885, he studied at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts, Kraków Academy of Fine Arts with Jan Matejko, who had a decisive influence on his style. He then won a scholarship that allowed him to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, from 1885 to 1887."Bergman in the Museum"
