Brynard Stander is a South African rugby union player, currently playing in Australia with the Western Force. His usual position is flanker. Burry Stander
Burry Willie Stander (16 September 1987 – 3 January 2013) was a South African mountain biker, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup under-23 men's cross-country 2009 world champion. In the 2008 Summer Olympics, held in Beijing, Stander finished 15th in the cross-country mountain bike race. In the 2012 Summer Olympics, held in London, Stander finished 5th in the cross-country mountain bike race. Stander paired up with Christoph Sauser in 2009 for the Absa Cape Epic. Although the team only managed 6th place that year, they then came back in 2010 to claim 2nd place. Finally in 2011 Stander and Sauser finished in 1st place, making Stander the first South African rider to win the Absa Cape Epic. In 2012 the team were victorious once again, winning the Prologue and four of the seven stages of the marathon stage race. Christiaan Johan Stander (born 5 April 1990) is a South African-Irish people, Irish former rugby union player. Stander's career began in his native South Africa, where he played for the Blue Bulls in the Currie Cup between 2010 and 2012 and for the Bulls (rugby), Bulls in Super Rugby in 2012. He moved to Irish province Munster Rugby, Munster in 2012 and, after qualifying via residency in 2015, made his debut for Ireland in 2016, going on to earn 51 caps for his adopted country, as well as 1 cap for the British & Irish Lions in 2017, before retiring in 2021. Hatto Ständer
Hatto Ständer (14 January 1929 – 10 August 2000) was a German church musician, academic, concert organist and composer. He was a professor of organ and choral conducting at the Dortmund University for three decades, and director of its department Catholic church music. His compositions are mostly sacred music, but he also wrote piano music and chamber music. He served as an advisor to organ builders for notable organs in Dortmund. Career Born in Witten, Ständer showed musical talent early. He played the organ in church liturgies at age nine. At age 13, he became a pupil of the ''Musisches Gymnasium'', a school specialising in music and arts, in Frankfurt, where he was inspired by Kurt Thomas who taught counterpoint, composition and conducting. Ständer studied piano and composition at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. Jan Hendrik Stander (born 4 January 1982) is a cricketer who represents Scotland. An all-rounder, Stander bats right handed and bowls right arm medium-fast. He was a member of the Scotland squad for the 2009 ICC World Cup Qualifier, during which he made his debut in One Day Internationals (ODIs). He has also played first-class and List A cricket for Scotland. Career Stander moved to Scotland from his native South Africa in 2003. He began playing for Aberdeenshire Cricket Club that year, and remained with the club until 2006. By 2007 Stander was a cricket development officer for the Grampian region. He is best remembered for his role as majordomo Max on the 1980s mystery television series ''Hart to Hart''. Riaan Stander
Riaan Stander (born 1972) is a South African serial killer who murdered two prostitutes in Port Elizabeth (present-day Gqeberha) in August 2007. His modus operandi consisted of picking up prostitutes in the evening, taking them back to his flatlet, slitting their throats with a bread knife, and dumping their bodies nearby. He was apprehended shortly after his final murder and sentenced to life imprisonment at his trial the following year. He had previously been convicted of culpable homicide after he fatally struck a woman with his vehicle in 2001. Early life Riaan Stander was born in 1972. Ron Stander (October 17, 1944 – March 8, 2022) was an American professional boxer, who fought from 1969 to 1982. The highlight of Stander's pro career came on May 25, 1972 when he challenged for the world heavyweight championship in Omaha, Nebraska. Stander lost to champion Joe Frazier by fifth-round technical knockout when the ring doctor stopped the fight after the fourth round. Prior to his unsuccessful match versus Frazier, Stander had scored a fifth-round knockout victory over hard-punching Earnie Shavers in 1970, and a decision win over contender Thad Spencer in 1971. An award-winning documentary titled "The Bluffs Butcher," after his adopted hometown of Council Bluffs, Iowa, produced by journalism student Andrew Batt, was released in 2004.
