Stan LePard
Stanley James LePard (August 10, 1956 – February 11, 2021) was an American composer, orchestrator and sound designer. He is best known for his work on the ''Halo'' and ''Destiny'' game series, as well as ''Guild Wars 2''. In addition to games, he has also composed for numerous Microsoft software products, including Encarta and Windows. Early life LePard was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition at Eastern Washington University, as well as a master's degree in Music Education at University of North Texas. Career Starting from 1980, LePard composed for TV shows and films. During the late 1980s, LePard was part of the new wave band Secret Cinema. Coeur D'Alene, Idaho
Coeur d'Alene ( ; ) is a city and the county seat of Kootenai County, Idaho, United States. It is the most populous city in North Idaho and the principal city of the Coeur d'Alene Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 54,628 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. Stephen Rippy
Stephen A. Rippy (born 1975) is an American composer from Texas who is well known for his musical compositions for the soundtracks of various video games, most notably the Age of Empires franchise by Ensemble Studios and Microsoft Games. Life and career Rippy grew up in the Spring area of Harris County, Texas, and now resides in Plano, Texas, near Dallas. Making video game music was not Rippy's original career goal. He attended the University of Texas in the early 1990s to study visual art, and only took a few music courses. Rippy worked for Ensemble Studios as the head of the Audio department with friend and collaborator Kevin McMullan. ''Hover!'' is a video game that combines elements of the games bumper cars and capture the flag. It was included on CD-ROM versions of the Microsoft Windows 95 operating system. It was a showcase for the advanced multimedia capabilities available on personal computers at the time. It is still available from Microsoft. The game will not run on earlier versions of Windows. Gameplay ''Hover!'' has three mazes that resemble a medieval castle, a futuristic city, and a sewer. Each maze has its own unique texture maps, music theme, and spawn locations. For each level, ''Hover!'' will cycle through each of the three mazes, or randomly select one (if that option is set).
