Stan Ellis
Stanley William Ellis is an American businessman and politician serving as a member of the California State Assembly for the 32nd district since 2025. A Republican, he won a special election to succeed Vince Fong. Early life and education Ellis grew up on a hog farm in South Dakota and graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a degree in mathematics. Career After college, Ellis moved to Kern County, starting several small businesses in the oil and agricultural industries. He also worked in quantum physics, founding his own lab and co-founding Qubitekk, Inc., which was acquired by IonQ in January 2025. Ellis previously owned the Bakersfield Jam franchise. 2024 congressional campaign Ellis ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2024 in California's 20th congressional district. California's 32nd State Assembly district is one of 80 California State Assembly districts. It is currently represented by Republican Stan Ellis of Bakersfield. District profile The district is located in the southwestern Central Valley and consists of portions of Kern and Tulare Counties, including the whole Cities of Exeter, Ridgecrest, Tehachapi, Maricopa, and Taft, and portions of the Cities of Bakersfield and Visalia. Phillip David Wyman (February 21, 1945 – November 28, 2019) was an American politician from California. A Republican, he was a member of the California State Assembly from 1978 to 1992 and again from 2000 to 2002; he was also a member of the California Senate from 1993 to 1994. Assembly races Wyman was vice president of the Antelope Valley Board of Trade in 1976 when he first ran for California State Assembly from the Tehachapi- Palmdale based 34th District. David Goncalves Valadao ( ; born April 14, 1977) is an American politician and dairy farmer serving as the U.S. representative for California's 22nd congressional district since 2023.
