Lovelace Stamer
The Right Reverend Sir Lovelace Tomlinson Stamer, 3rd Baronet, VD (18 October 182929 October 1908) was the first Anglican Bishop of Shrewsbury in the modern era. Early life and education Lovelace Stamer was born in York into an Anglo-Irish noble family, the son of Sir Lovelace Stamer, 2nd baronet and his wife Caroline Tomlinson. He succeeded to the family baronetcy, originally created in 1809 for his grandfather, twice Lord Mayor of Dublin, following the death of his father in 1860. He was educated at Rugby and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he took part in his college's first rowing crew and graduated BA in 1835 and MA in 1856. He was later awarded the degree of Doctor of Divinity (DD) in 1888. Career Stamer was Ordained priest in 1855, and began his career with curacies at Clay Cross, Derbyshire, in 1853-54 and Turvey in 1854. William Donovan Stamer
Major General William Donovan Stamer CB, CBE, DSO, MC (14 June 1895 – 21 September 1963) was a British Army officer who was commissioned into the North Staffordshire Regiment at the outbreak of the First World War and served in the Army until retirement in 1948, finishing his career with the temporary rank of major-general and serving as General Officer Commanding Sudan and Eritrea. Early life Stamer was born in Keele, Staffordshire, the eldest son and third child of the Reverend Frederick Stamer and Ethel Donovan. His paternal grandfather was the 3rd Baronet Stamer, Lovelace Stamer. After being educated at Rugby School, Stamer attended the Royal Military College, Sandhurst and was commissioned as a second lieutenant into the North Staffordshire Regiment on 19 August 1914 (just two weeks after Great Britain declared war on Germany), although this was subsequently backdated to 8 August 1914. Joshua Lee Stamer (born October 11, 1977), is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He played college football and college basketball at the University of South Dakota. Stamer was also a member of the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe, Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns. Henrik Stamer Hedin (born 10 July 1946) is a Danish communist and translator, chairman of Communist Party of Denmark since 2003, and editor of CPD's (Danish DKP) party newspaper Skub. He was chosen for the CPD's (Danish DKP) executive committee for the first time in 1993. At CPD's (Danish DKP) 33rd congress, held in 2012, he was reelected to the executive committee and subsequently reelected as chairman of the party and the new executive committee. Henrik Stamer Hedin is a vocal critic of imperialism. While raised as a political conservative, Hedin became a Marxist and joined the Communist Party of Denmark.
