Greifswald (), officially the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald (, Low German: ''Griepswoold'') is the fourth-largest city in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania after Rostock, Schwerin and Neubrandenburg. Blankenfelde () is a locality (''Ortsteil'') located within the Berlin borough (''Bezirk'') of Pankow. Of the city's 95 localities, it is the least densely populated. History Blankenfelde was founded around 1375 and was integrated into Berlin in 1920 via the "Greater Berlin Act". After World War II, it was part of East Berlin from 1949 to 1990. Pankow () is the second largest and most populous Boroughs and quarters of Berlin, borough of the German capital Berlin.
